Quick Update

I’ll be using this site less often after receiving a shock when the Phone Bill arrived. Most browsing time will be spent on my new iPhone; it came with free Internet access for the first year plus a Bolt-On afterwards for just £10 a Month.

I’m just back from a Table Quiz to raise funds for the Haiti Appeal. My team came second, with a ‘Return Leg’ next Friday Night. Also there’s another Quiz I would like to attend on Sunday Night; I let the woman who runs the Armagh meetings know I won’t be attending this Week.

Also, on the front of my own Meeting, to be held in Moneymore, I received an E-Mail from one of the Local Papers I contacted earlier and they said i CAN place an add in the Regional; Bulletin for Free; they had charged £70 per Week. This has come as excellent news for me personally, having coughed up so much for the iPhone.

I hope everyone’s safe and sound. Next Monday is big for me two ways. First a Health Check in the Morning, then the exam for my Spanish Class in the Evening.

Next Thursday it will be 2 Years since my Mum died. The deep depression I suffered as a result led me towards seeking help for my Eating Disorder. WeightWatchers provided a Short-Term respite, but since joining OA recovery has become more Long-Term.

Thanks for Reading.

    Yes, we are all safe and sound over here, anyway.
    A bit of rain this morning.
    Always worthy of note, particularly when it’s summer and the parks and gardens are drying out. When you have dogs, you notice all of these things in particular.

    Good to see they will place an ad in the paper free of charge.
    There tend to be different avenues to advertise community events that are for the general public. Generally the ads will be free of charge if it is for public benefit, at least here.

    Stay on track with OA. Stay connected with other people and support each other. Lots of emotional support. Then it’s about getting into regular healthy eating habits and exercise.

    There’s really no tricks about it although one tip is to eat your evening meal early and then have nothing after 7.00pm to eat, except for tea and water. Maybe an apple for supper. Stop eating at least 3 hours before you go to bed and get to bed earlier, rather than later.
    It really does work. That tip is from my gym and they specialise in weight loss apart from other things.

    I will put your Mum in my prayers Des. Get a Mass said for her and your dad. I can see that OA has really helped you, but in fact it is Desmond Devlin that is helping you, you have done all the work. Keep it up, and well done.

    Just to let Terri and Georgie know;
